The real estate market in the out lying areas of Champaign and Urbana is still very attractive and is still selling. One of those areas is St Joseph. This community boast great schools and is ideally situated between Champaign/Urbana and Danville.

The driving force in most communities is location and the school districts which serve it.  St Joseph is served by 3 different school district, of which all of them excel. The kinder-garden through 8th grade children are served by 2 of the districts. St Joseph CCSD 169 and Prairie View Ogden CCSD 197. Both schools rank very high in state testing.

The high school consist of the consolidation of both of the school district in the previous paragragh to form St Josegh/Ogden CHSD 305. The high schoool continues the excellent education opportunities that the grade schools have started. All schools also excel in athletics as well.

The other reason that St Joseph is one of the fastest growing communities in Champaign county is that is a great place to raise your family. It has ample shopping and several restaurants to round out its appeal. It also has the advantage of being less that a 10 minute drive to Champaign/Urbana and a 20 minute drive Danville.

So when you are looking for a place to call home, give St Joseph look!!
