How to use the Control Panel
Benefits of registering
The Champaign Illinois Real Estate website exists to service our customers needs and provide the finest and most technologically advanced Champaign Illinois real estate services available.
You must be a registered visitor to be able to save your property searches and access the advanced features or this website.
Saved searches allow you to receive new Champaign Illinois Real Estate listings by email that match your search criteria as they are listed in the MLS and become available.
If you are actively searching for homes or properties to purchase, this is a very good reason to be a registered visitor at Champaign Illinois Real Estate and work with one of the qualified real estate agents at the Littlefield Homes Team in the Champaign County Illinois area.
To access the advanced features of the website, select the "Search Homes" link on the left side navigation or the "MLS Search" button at the top of the page.
Registering for our advanced features
On the left side of your browser window is a panel "Search Tools". This is your private Control Panel which provides access to the advanced features of the Champaign Illinois Real Estate website.
If you are not logged in or not a registered visitor, you will see this control panel:
Please click the "Register" link to gain access to our Advanced Search Features as well as obtaining access to your control panel.
Enter your First and Last name and provide a valid email address. A valid email address is required to receive updated listings when you create and save a search. Once you have entered your information, click the "Register" button.
Registered visitors
Registered visitors have access to a private control panel. If you are a registered visitor and logged in to the site, on the left side of your browser window you will see:
The control panel provides access to advanced features such as:
- New Search - Allows you to create a new search for properties
- Map Search - Allows you to search for properties using our advanced map search which is powered by Google Maps
- My Favorites - When you view a property and want to save it for reference later, you can retrieve your saved properties using this option.
- My Saved Searches - Once you have created and saved a search, using this option allows you to modify or delete the saved search.
- Logout - Logs you out of the Champaign Illinois Real Estate website.
Creating and Saving a Search
Click the "New Search" link in the control panel and you will be presented with the advanced search page:
The advanced search page provides you various search options. You can search:
- By City
- By Zip Code
- By MLS Number
- By Map
For now, let's use the "By City" option which should already be active.
Choose a city for your search by clicking the check box next to the name of the city. You must select at least one city to create and save a search. TIP: You can select multiple cities when searching for properties.
Next select a property type for which you would like to search. Only one of these options may be selected at a time.
Optionally you can select a Min. Price Range (From) and a Max. Price Range (To).
Optionally you can select the Min. Beds and Min. Baths.
And finally you can optionally select the Min. Square Feet, Min. Acres and Built After year.
At the bottom of the page you will see the "Save Search" check box. If you are a registered visitor and logged in Checking the box will display the Save Search text box where you can enter a descriptive name for your saved search.
Once you've entered a descriptive name for your search, click the Large beige "Search" button.
Your search is now saved and you will be presented with a search results page showing all the active Champaign Illinois Real Estate properties available for sale that match your selected criteria.
Once you've created a search, you are able to modify or delete the search by accessing your Champaign Illinois Real Estate control panel and selecting My Saved Searches.
You can also delete or edit your saved search criteria from this screen so you don't have to re-create your searches everytime you log in to Champaign Illinois Real Estate.
